How did I get here

I moved to Indiana September 2009 to follow my husband, again, to yet another job transfer for him. Now I was facing selling a house, finding a new house, moving a teenage daughter to a new (much bigger) high school, finding a good daycare, leaving a great job, and finding a new one that I would like half as much as my current job. I did get a great job as a Director of Nutrition and was excited about looking for a new house. But then my husband decided that he wanted a divorce 4 days after I moved(he could have told me a little earlier). So what do I do now? New job, no support system, no home, kids transitioning....I did have a set back. Being an emotional eating, I ate! and ate! in 2 months I gained 17 lbs. When I weighed myself on thansgiving and saw that I was 196# I almost died!!! Okay so I'm about 6 weeks late starting this blog but my journey started the Monday after Thanksgiving. At 196# I decided to start the Indy Adventure Boot Camp at 5:30 am in Fishers, Indiana. Every morning (okay almost every morning some are harder than others) I woke up and worked out. It helped that people noticed when you didn't make it. I began to apply some of my own advice and focused on exercise instead of eating. So far, today, I weigh 181#! In my formal life this number would have made me gasp...but this is reality I lost 15 lbs. Now you can follow my journey of good nutrition (and sometimes falling off the wagon), good exercise, and a great attitude.
